I'm looking for more stuff along the lines of:
Solar Fields
Ishq
Carbon Based Lifeforms
HUVA Network
Makyo
Aes Dana
Basically really deep, floating stuff with a minimum of beats.
Any suggestions?
Entheogenics new one it pretty mellow. I am more of a chilled with beats kind of guy...so I don't know if I'd be of much help.
i cant believe i was in alabama, hunstville by the way and solar fields came on the radio!! it was pretty nice evening !! i got some pics from the trip and they turned out great with the new camera RIP for the old one!! too bad they dont smoke that bama stuff in the SFC!!
actually i think that dub beautiful collective website is cool to check out and interchill stuff and then you can branch out from there and the adham shaikh stuff yeah!!
Your list is where I would start...
plus
Everything on Interchill/candyflip/Ultimae/ect
Go to www.ambient.us
The second Infinty Project cd
Vir Unis's "pulse stuff"
Irristable Force's "Global Chillage" (Mixmaster Morris)
This is an oldie but its way trippy and a pleasure to float around to....
branden
not fresh - but the Wabi comp on flying rhino is a real treat - Doof & co. in fine and a bit unexpected form - quite a "neutral" vibe - not phreaked out and absent of vocal samples - almost eno/budd stylee - currently is the soundtrack to me falling asleep - has been for 3months or so since I found it.
folk here are much more up to date with good & sometimes fairly rare stuff than me though...

Hi Seth,
You should check out the artists at both Hypnos and Databloem as well as classic Fax albums/artists.
Subradial, The Circular Ruins, Sgnl_Fltr, Chad Hoefler, Steve Roach, Pete Namlook, Tetsu Inuoe, Rapoon, Negativland, Robert Rich - these are all artists I listen to on a daily basis.
And please try not to "limit" yourself to a "psy-[insert genre]" point of view. There are many ambient artists who understand and manipulate the psychedelic experience much better than many current "Psy" artists.
Two cheers on Carbon Based Lifeforms though...can't wait for the 2nd album to be released. :)
If you'd like an mp3 "sampler" of the artists I mentioned above to give you an idead of the various styles and ranges of experience they provide...send me a private message and I'll burn you a disc.
Peace,
Jim
