Thanks to those I met who gave me new music to listen to. This mix barely scratches the surface of all the good quality music that was played that weekend, but was still fun to put together.

Things may seem to be quiet in Fuzzyland, but we have been working hard on getting the album just right this past year. It should be out very very soon. We have an opportunity to perform at this years Chillit's, but we need your help. We are asking that you nominate us to perform. Also some new tracks can be heard on our myspace page http://www.myspace.com/fuzzpodmusic. This will be our first performance in over a year and will hopefully be the start of many more to come as the album should be done (hopefully pressed) by then.

Instructions to nominate us are below...
Hello Everyone,

It's time to nominate the acts you would like to hear at Chillits this year.
Here's how it works:

- Submit your email to: chillitsmusic@gmail.com by 11:59 am, July 24.
- Please list up to 3 acts you would love to hear, and include links to
their music. If there's anything else we should know (ie, your cousin is one
of the dudes in Boards of Canada, and he totally owes you), then let us know
- Make sure to include contact information for any acts you nominate
- We encourage a variety of music (it doesn't have to be electronic), so
feel free to get creative

That's it, really. We look forward to hearing the music you love, and to
putting together a weekend of fabulous music.

See you at Camp & Sons,
Presenting the evening's chillographers ::

BLUE SPECTRAL MONKEY
{Interchill Records / Touch Samadhi}
Truly a connoisseur of psychedelic electronic music, Blue Spectral Monkey has been collecting and spinning constantly since 1996. His trance sets are dark and twisted, pounding and mysterious, a futuristic symbiosis of tribal intensity and technological meltdown. As a downtempo DJ, he dives deeply into new electronic dub, slow trance, spacey techno, idm, beatless ambient soundscapes and drones, and chilled breaks with an ethno-spiritual-psychedelic twist, all the time keeping the sounds thick, groovy and trippy.

SPEKTRA
{Molecular}
Heavily influenced by Moontribe and the global psychedelic trance community, Dawn (DJ Spektra) brings the fun to any party. “Music should be fun…I like to reflect that when I perform” she says. You’ll be sure to find funky and spacey music that brings out your inner animal freak!
» http://www.molecular.cc/artists/spektra/

DJ ECKOE
{Ultimae Records / Chillography / Molecular}
Machine-Elf (aka Adrian – DJ Eckoe) became his visual creation in 1998 for a place for my artistic development as a digital artist as well as his musical exploration of IDM, Goa, and Psy Trance. Using the love for the obscure and interest in electronic development within the music and visual art realms, DJ Eckoe started highlighting his time with sharpening his skills and abilities as a DJ, promoter, and deco artist in and throughout the Texas trance and burner communities with such collectives as Texaliens, Shiva Shakti, UMP, Mistical Productions, Atrium Obscurum, and Last Laugh. Now, based in Seattle, WA, he has found himself redefining his identity under the French chill psyambient label Ultimae as a chill DJ and promoter, helping uncover the hidden aspect of what downtempo/chill parties are like.
» http://www.ultimae.com

CRISPY
{Chillography / Splendid Beats / Molecular}
With 12+ years behind the decks, Crispy expertly covers the gamut from deep ambient and ethereal downtempo, to booty-shaking tribal progressive, psychoactive breaks, and blissful psytrance. For chill sets expect additional samplers and effects processors to spice up the mix and create a more psychedelic sonic tapestry. Be sure to check out Regression Session, a psychedelic ambient journey of all original music, released under his Leave Trace moniker. This Seattle-based DJ/producer, and co-founder of the Chillography series, will regularly be found playing at club nights, Burning Man events, chill rooms, parties, festivals and out of door experiences.

I can't find that song either. Thank you.

A community engagement series with the intention to excite civic engagement and community development around green projects through collaboration and culture.

Outcomes: Collaborative projects that can be worked on every month: possibly technology or nature related: community/school gardens, tree plantings, green roofs, low income solar, building weatherization - what ever the community decides. We strive to contribute to green jobs development and the enhancement of San Francisco’s position as an urban world leader in sustainable biology, technology and arts based culture.

Community Development: nature+people+technology
The sound of the project is best described as downtempo ambient electronics mixed with ethnic world musics in the vein of "Karma" era Delerium, Amethystium, and Dead Can Dance. Its really a very intoxicatingly beautiful creation and I highly recommend it to anyone into ambient music styles.

i remembered i was asked to do the next party for this tribe quite some time long ago, well i still havent forgotton about it, and love to do a party for this tribe since the last ones been well so long ago, it seems like the community here with over 2,000 tribe heads should be able to spark something up a little more interesting than what's been posted recently, i remember lots of activity within this tribe and pretty much overall!! well folks its time to speak out, let us know what u love what u like what u dont like what was a waste a money, parties u went to where they claim to be chill, but ended up being some dance contest! well this party im gonna plan is strictly for the chill folks!
as for the lineup i say for the most part the people that been trying there best to keep the chill alive of course!! another factor i might be considering is whoever is a dj that is spreading the word of what they are spinning, i know some of you like to keep ur stuff a secret to like those trainspotters, but for real its kinda selfish and whats the point of not letting people know what your spinning, u might as well make ur own music and not bother touching someone else recording without doing your best to let people know what song it is that they are grooving too so they can relive the memories and not have to fall back on comercial radio, the stuff that is common to find out there at the stores. i mean for crying out loud the youth is the main target and they are getting worked with this over produced crap that sells because she looks good with ass all sticking out or some shit! and you got your ego and the way to talk and walk that goes with the videos thats just utterly nonsense in the first place!! is that the type of people they want in the miltary, hell yeah! the corporations are tryin to shape your kids into utter crunkness so they can use you on the front lines! lets do a survey of what the people in the military listen too? i betcha anything its alot of BET and MTV VH1 avid watchers out there, we need to focus on overcoming the shadow of the big corps like universal and alot fo other major record corps that is putting out some waste of time/resources type shit! please i encourage u to shop at independant stores, forget virgin record store and rasputins for the new stuff, used stuff i cant hold u back from that but the new stuff please buy direct from the artist/label when u can and boycott certain labels that seem to major and literally not give a fuck who u are!
people that are all about sharing what they have to give and shedding some light where its needed instead of just thinking of yourself!
nobody likes to play a party and spin for less than an hour, for me i expect at least an hour and 30 minute slot, therefore this party we will focus on giving the djs ample enough time to showcase some tunage!! with a proper schedule that we would need to stick to! i remember tons of parties countless numerous times where i get like less than an hour slot and to me its not worth it to promote and waste resources and be there to not get paid a dime and have bouncers constantly telling me to stay awake, when im actualy induced in a trance with my eyes closed, this party we will allow u to lye down chill back and close your eyes without somebody shining a flashlight in your face!

Regression Session is a mega-mix tapestry, woven from my older ambient works. It has been sitting nearly completed on my hard drive for many many months, and I've finally finished it up, and am now putting it out on the 'net for the world to download and hopefully enjoy.

The music in this produced set was created between 2000 and 2008, which was a very explorative time in my music making pursuits. I'm at a point now where I'm feeling more certain of my own creative voice, and feel that combining my older works into a larger piece is a proper way of closing the book on that chapter and allowing me to have a fresh start with my newer techniques, equipment, and processes. Essentially, Regression Session is a time capsule of sorts, documenting the ambient side of my musical voyage since 2000. The production files of most of these tracks have been lost to digital gremlins and computer platform changes, so they are presented here in their final state—goofed notes, audio glitches, mastering mistakes and all. They are what they are and will never be anything different. Despite these imperfections, I am proud to say this is/was me and am happy to have a nice package of the material to present to the world.

Your thoughts and feedback would be very welcome, but are not expected. If you enjoy what you hear, or parts of it, let me know! This music has been intensely private for so long, that I'm now very curious about how it sounds to other sets of ears.

Tracklist ::
Ocean Deep
Uncertainty Principle
Time Lapse
Quantum Soup
Freedom of Movement feat. Gel-Sol (live)

With over 3 hours of music compiled by the labels finest dj's

anyways if u guys dont know what Cosmic Leaf is then here is where u can learn all about them!!

an exclusive mix will be showcasing wed, within the mix is my remix of sideliner's track Moonlight, another version i did than the one u see on my myspace player!! so please check it out, im sorry if u dont get to hear this on your fm dial, but then again we are not some huge corporate mess!!Please do not buy into it!! anyways enjoy!!

Cosmicleaf is one of a new wave of labels from the global progressive and psy-trance underground that is reinventing dance music for the ambient zone beyond just stripping away the fast tempos. The global talent such labels are attracting is inspiring. Cosmicleaf releases have both darkness and light, familar genre sounds and strange new sounds, a mindset open to genuine variety and which understands "beautiful" is something profound, not cheesy or trite.

The ambient spaces between electro, trance, rock and world fusion are fertile ones, and the richness here suggests a group of artists diving headlong into them with passion, open minds and impressive programming skills.

Our compilations and albums are voyages through sound, not just a collection of tracks. Cosmicleaf invests to her artist roster in purpose of their best promotion, encourages her artists to complete artist albums and give release priority to that. The vision is to full fill her catalogue with albums of all her roster or at least from many of her artists.

Just a heads up on the upcoming comp. from Celestial Dragon. It should be out for the holiday season.

As dusk settles in and many people are winding down for the evening, a few of the chosen ones are slowly pulling open their blinds to a darkening synthetically lit world. Vampire Sunrise is the soundtrack to the elusive beings whom we never see yet ever so often run across while we move throughout the neon lit nightscape. As dusk first sets and the clock turns to six the computer starts the vampiric morning off with Colourform’s light ambient tune Magic Carpet (with a special Ishq remix soundscape), The slow movement to rise is then beckoned on with the slightly more upbeat Spirit Happening that was handcrafted by Evan Bartholomew. While stiffened from the daylit rest our friend stretches out his sleep stiffened body as Overflow provides a perfect segwey to the immortals first sip of the nocturnes espresso, with Scintilla. As Is by (val)Liam then sets what would be a mortals version of a pancake breakfast with its lush yet quietly energetic flow. The plasma screen displays a CGI sunrise for our waking friend, as Distant System’s Lost Sequence ushers in a sense of foreboding fate, the prospect of an endless nocturnal existence, with the tracks soulful yearns of the absence of light. Ishvara’s Nomad Arabian rmx however, brings forth memories that no other mortals could ever have experienced and changes the mood to a focus of the gift that was bestowed ages ago. Open Systems Rise and Shine reinforces that the night is for the immortal with its upbeat tone. As the ambience of the morning dusk starts to fade, the artificially lit city skyline is observed in silence through the window. Finally the time to prowl amongst the living has come and the minimal techno beat Nub which KiloWatts has created puts an end to the morning and starts the day or as the mortals would say the night…from here who knows where the day will end. The plasma screen is turned off as the sun has risen and our friend exits his door as the last beat of the Vampire Sunrise fade out.

Welcome to Chillography102.

The evening's Chillographers include:

GIFT CULTURE [live - first NW performance!]

Gift Culture resonates a titillating mixture of worldly and astral sounds. The Gift Culture project is based on sounds, imagery, and art derived from DSP technology, analogue synthesis, and computer-based non-linear editing. Gift Culture attempts to share his explorations in this multi-dimensional space; to evoke sonic textures from samplers and synthesizers; a journey to discover their "voices", so to speak, using such techniques as granular synthesis, spectral resynthesis, FFT/IFFT based spectral morphing and interpolation, and whatever other exotic algorithms he can coax out of his myriad machines.
http://www.psymbolic.com

OSIRIS INDRIYA [dj]

Osiris Indriya creates real magick on the dance floor through an explosion of tribal percussion, deep atmospheres, and chunky relentless basslines. His hard and funky psytrance and tribal progressive sound has been featured along side Shpongle, Hallucinogen, KoxBox, Ticon, and LOUD and has made him as an official label DJ for Iboga Records from Denmark (http://www.iboga.dk). He has performed peak hour sets at Shambhala Music Festival in Salmo, BC; the Earthdance hub event in Laytonville, California; The Dreamtime Festival in Paonia, CO; The Double 6 in Kuta, Bali; and countless underground forest parties, beach parties, club nights and concerts in the US, Canada, and Japan. As a major creative force in Seattle's thriving dance music scene, Osiris co-founded the Oracle Gatherings in 2001 and helped start Infinite Connections in 2005, branding IOSIS Art Parties and co-producing the massive semi-annual Kinetic and Magnetic events at the Pacific Science Center. As his dance floor audiences grow, Osiris Indriya is continually inspired to create his own brand of original music. His first progressive and downtempo CD, "Reach Within" was released on Locus Music in 2005 and was followed by a remix of Antix "Little Honey" with Australia's Sun Control Species (Iboga Records 2005). His most recent releases were featured on the first and second Entheos Gathering Compilations. The first, a warm chill out track titled "Gifted", is in regular rotation on SomaFM's Groove Salad internet radio (http://somafm.com/play/groovesalad).
http://www.osirisindriya.com/

SKOI SIRIUS [dj]

What started in the old warehouse drenched in camo nets and deep red lighting of the Jungle and D&B world, morphed slowly over the years into a love of many different forms of electronic music, and the cultures inside of the communities existing in this particular faction of the what can somewhat be known as the “underground”. With as much vinyl only sets as possible (to enhance the listeners experience), and with a true love for producers that are constantly pushing the boundaries of the music, he will bring the sounds for not only the body and the soul, but also the mind.
http://waxdj.com/djs/4961/

0x86 [dj]

Thomas Kiehne started out in 1991 as a DJ for college radio KUCB in Boulder, CO under the moniker 'Net Noise'. He developed an all-electronic music specialty show named 'Transmission-X' and sought to expose the listening audience to a wide spectrum of electronic music from ambient to danceable to abrasive. During his time in Colorado, he founded the label SDS Productions, initially as a platform for recordings of 'Transmission-X', but later as a vehicle for locally produced abstract electronic music. After a relocation to Austin, TX in 1995, he continued under the 'Net Noise' moniker while DJ-ing industrial dance, EBM, and hard techno at local dance clubs. By 1999, focus shifted away from SDS and into Last Laugh, LLC, a group that produces diverse electronic music-oriented events. The shift away from SDS mirrored the shift from 'Net Noise' to '0x86' and an emphasis on a broad variety of intelligent and experimental electronic music.

The link below is for my most-recent downtempo/ambient podcast ("Expand Your Musical Horizons," episode 33). There's a lot of great tracks in here, mostly from people you haven't heard of....creative-commons licensed artists, netlabels, remixers, etc....

Because it's in a podcast format, there's some voiceover (announcing artist names) at the beginning and at the end, but mercifully, I keep it contained so that the music itself is uninterrupted, and you can always snip it off later.

Here's the tracklist and the link...would love to hear from you if you like it. And yes, I do solicit new tracks and get permissions for everything I play...so feel free to send me yours. -- Enjoy! Cary
REQUEST FOR SPONSORSHIP
On Sunday January 20, I am participating in a dance-a-thon called Wishing Well @ Woodley Park to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation®. Our goal is to raise $10,000 for this worthwhile charity that has helped so many children. Please visit wishingwellwoodleypark.blogspot.com/ for full details on this event.

Since 1980, the Make-A-Wish Foundation has given hope, strength and joy to children with life-threatening medical conditions. From humble beginnings with one boy’s wish to be a police officer, Make-A-Wish Foundation has evolved into an organization that grants a child’s wish in the U.S. every 41 minutes. Visit their website http://www.wish.org for more info.

I know we all have good hearts and that we believe in helping worthwhile causes and that is why I am asking you to sponsor me for this event. Sponsors make a donation by check or online and I am committed to dance for the number of hours you choose. For example, if you sponsor me to dance for four hours at $5 per hour, that would be a $20 donation to Make-A-Wish. I will then dance for four straight hours to fulfill my commitment to you.

You can also make a flat sponsorship. All sponsor contributions should be made as a check or money order made directly to the “Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Los Angeles”. or via pay pal at http://wishingwell2.blogspot.com
